How do you UV multiple parts?
I highlighted and looped a seam. Clicked on the plus sign, then pinned. That was visible. I DID NOT unfold because I wanted to go to the other cloths. (I currently have 3-Dress, DressSkirt, and Top) So I then looped a seam but that wasn't added at all. I see a blank grid. And when I first did it, I saw a blank grid with the universal manipulator.

Do you have shader domains set? If so, just turn off the domains you are NOT mapping, then map the pieces one by one. Save each BMP file out separately. Don't forget to export the OBJ after you map.

Ok will set up shading domains. Thanks! Looking good! Thanks. Going to put that to the side a bit and start on something new. I think I have A.D.D. lol I have to wait on the body handles and FST tutorial anyways coz with a dress like that, it's the only thing that'll make it pose right.

You purchased the OKC K4 Dev Pack, correct? If so, you HAVE body handles and a CR2 which uses them. Look in the character library for the long dress CR2.

So I load it and then transfer them...how? Is that what you're doing now? I know before you said you didn't want to use his things much because of his restrictions. I still kinda want to learn how to do it...just to understand. There's no rush at all though.

Here's how you use his stuff.........open the dress CR2 in a text editor and replace each occurrence of "longdress.......obj" (whatever he calls it) with your OBJ filename. Then save the CR2 to a new filename inside your Runtime. I use directories named RJ-K4 as my development directories in libraries:Character, textures, geometries, etc. Once the CR2 is saved, go to your Geometries folder and create a folder named "BodyHandles" and copy the OKCDev Pack Body handles in there. Go into Poser/D|S and find your CR2 and load it up. It's done. I created my own bodyhandles because I didn't want to use the OKC ones. But, that is all you need to do to have a working CR2 ready for Poser and D|S.

One more thing, remember to Group your OBJ file before you create the CR2. Can't skip that step. When you group the skirt, leave out the thighs and shins........everything below the abdomen should be in the hip group.

Here's the process I use when I'm done modeling and ready to create the CR2s.
1. Export the model from Hexagon, twice. Once to my creation directory (just for backup purposes) and once to my production Geometries directory - :runtime:Geometries:RJ-K4
2. Start Auto Group Editor and group the object from my :runtime:Geometries:RJ-K4 directory and save it back there when the grouping is finished (hence, the 2nd copy above).
3. Pull the object file up in UVMapper and write my template file.
4. Create my CR2.
5. Once I make sure the CR2 is working and the body handles work correctly, I begin the texturing process.
5a. Make any revisions to the CR2 needed using Figure Setup Tools/Joint Editor.
6. Create the textures, test them, when working properly, bring the whole thing back into the D|S screen and export the final CR2 with the textures loaded.

I have to say I am very happy with these Terence Boots. Lots of work, but I used Sculptris to do the folds and sculpting. Sculptris was a lot easier to use than trying to do the same in Hexagon. Attachments:
