I have bought all these jeans resources and don't know how to use them to line up seams and texture jeans. Before I'd floodfill but it never looked right.

just my 2 p's worth lol I dont like using flood fill ! as u said it rarely looks right
I use the tex like cloth and cut out the pattern bits (hope that makes sense) lets you get the "grain" of the cloth goin right way an then do a quick render to check its scale in poser
dunno wot pack of textures u got but mine has pockets an seams as sep layers so mark where u want the seams then use the transform tools to bring the seam into line hope that helps

ok your about to find out why I dont do tuts (I'm c**p at it )
a lot does depend on the proggys u got, photoshop makes all this a lot easier can use the transform tools to play with the seams, its a lot better then the way I'm showing you lol stitchwitch is also suposed to make it a lot easier (but me not got it ) the newer psp's or other paint progs I got no idea
this is in the gimp and is no special tools or filters used ;-) (only just built this comp on wens so not got nowt loaded yet, even had to make the brush lol ) ALWAYS work as big as u can while making the textures, can reduce them to take the load of poser but huge is easier while you make them ps used kerwins shorts (free) and a couple of denim textures that I have

I like to use lots of layers and make a lot of guide layers to do anything fancy this shows front of one leg blocked out in black Attachments:

rotated the demin a bit to bring the "grain" (red arrow) into line with the cloth flow do this for each leg part rotating as needed I would pop into poser at this point an check the scale of the denim adjust as you want to DONT forget to save in the native format for your paint prog (eg psp, xcf, psd woteva) to keep all the layers BEFORE exporting a png(jpg) for testing in poser Attachments:

couple of selection tricks to isolate where I want the seam to be painted it red for ease of selection laters since the gimp hasnt got the fancy transform tools (boohoo) I draw a path up the centre of my selection Attachments:

now I opened my seam pic selected a small area (yellow) to make my brush this should work in any paint proggy I think but they all have there own likkle ways so practise practise woteva lol next is just stroke the path with your brush adjust size of brush as needed adjust spacing to suit be prepared to go in an paint in bits that look bad Attachments:

this shows how the spacing affects it one on left is not enough spacing other is too much again test it in poser be ready to make adjustments and try to keep some hair ;-) same sorta plan for all the other details hope that helps?? did say I'm not the best tut writer!! and there is better ways (if u got the better proggys lol ) Attachments:

forgot to say when u make brush its just HALF the width of the seam t'other half is on the back panel and yes u need another brush for that mirror the one u made then they should line up better ;-)
