Oh ok. I'm nowhere as experienced as you so, to me, Hex works for what I needed it to. Now, as I get more experienced, I'd want updates for things and more importantly, would KNOW what it is that needs to be updated lol. All the listings and I don't really know what was done.

All the listings and I don't really know what was done. i think the main part was they re written the code, from my understanding the old hexagon code could not be handed down to a programmer and expect him to do some thing with it because this was not your ordinary codes, i think daz had 1 person that worked on hexagon and they had him re write it, this makes it now were most any programmer can understand it. i hope there next move is having more tools. they said " The development team has updated the code base and fixed over 225 bugs" if they knew you were a new buyer and sold you 225 bugs then they should give you a FREE upgrade. be care full this company is well known to blow a lot of hot air so dont expects much on any new stuff for hexagon until they can prove it

Ez, I know what you mean about them blowing hot air. I've really started to dislike that company. I look at it now as a business arrangement. If they give me things at a good price that I can afford, I'll buy, but I'm no longer grateful thinking they're the best. I mean it's a mutual arrangement. They want my dollars and I want certain things. I've cut back on buying from them a lot. I don't like something in particular that was done to me on that forum and how a mod handled it.

I don't like something in particular that was done to me on that forum and how a mod handled it. they only give there self a bad name. i dont like what one of there mod done to me either and all so some of there staff and thats including them taking money out of my bank account each month for a hole year with out me knowing it. i had to buy a 1 month member ship to get a special deal and then i could cancel the 1 month subscription which i did and was re assured it was canceled by one of there staff and it was not canceled. the part that ticked me off is they said they couldn't go back a year for full credit. far as im concern they treated me in more then one way like crap after me promoting there software and i dam near ran there support on there own forum for years even caught one of there new mod jacking with my post and removing post for no reason and after i reported it then it was placed back and in the end i didnt see what they done to the mod for doing a dirty trick like that.

That was no way to treat you. Everyone got help from you...more help than anyone else on the Hexagon forum. You always came through. That is no way to show appreciation. I was very weary of them when I saw how they treated you and that caused me to look out because others had mentioned things too so I kept my eyes open. I don't see them the same way. I used to think they were a great company that went above and beyond to please their customers. I put them on a pedestal. Now, I just see it as a business arrangement. I really don't like shopping there or Renderosity for that matter so I don't compulsively buy anymore. If I REALLY like it and it's for a great price, I'll get it. Before, I also bought things to show appreciation. Not so anymore. Now, I only buy if I like it.

i stuck with them threw thick and thin and i i feel i got the shaft in the end.
they wanted me to be on hexagon beta years a go and sign a DNA but then again they couldn't give a time when the beta would happen and i question them. from a private beta years a go they NOW have a open public beta.
i have NOT had a problem out of any daz member(NONE) but it took some jack ass's and i mean 'S more then one jack ass on there end to screw it up, i wave my middle finger high like a American flag to them back stabber's

Betrayal is hard to get over. I'm the same way. I help everyone, but once you cross me, I leave you alone and you'll never be in my circle ago. I can't have bad people around me or people. Or people who are out for themselves.

they locked the beta threads, they let the serial expire and they dont tell you right away where to get your new S/N there is no news shortly after it expired letting you know whats going on BUT they want YOU to help by posting bug can't post bugs if the app is expired. i have never seen a company ignore there beta testers. why let it expire then give a new S/N to the same version build? are they really telling you guys the truth? what a bunch of screw balls. do you guys really believe what this company tells you? they had lead people on for many years so if you want to be suckers 1 more time then im sure they will get 1 more laugh out of it with 1 more sales making customers think its moving forward. if this was all new they should of gave you at least 1 or 2 new tools, and what did you get? i think they gave you a few properties icon with different colors, whoopy shit im not impressed . they keep bringing in different employees on the hexagon forum, now they have DAZ_Smoky , is DAZ_Smoky really blowing smoke up your guys ass's? what there doing on the hexagon forum is a embarrassment only from what they created them self. they can't even hire a good Liar, i herd the last Bird Brain they Hired Got Fired ;D a third Grader could read these peoples Minds, there not to difficult to figure out.

I think unless they come up with some 'drastic' changes, Im going to stick with what works. When I bought Hex {the book with Hex and Carrara} the price dropped the very next day and they wouldn't give me the difference...even tho they said that that book shouldn't have even been for sale on the website at that time...

they told you every thing but did not tell you about there refund policy.

I think I paid like $29.00 or something close to it..and I bought it directly from Daz..the next day it went on sale for like $13.00 or something...Im not really complaining about it..I got what I wanted and it didn't cost me hundreds...My hex works....Im just not willing to screw it up by trying their beta......Im kinda done with 'betas' if you know what I mean LOL

they said some thing like hexagon was like getting a new engine a complete make over with new codes, if thats the case why didn't they lock and stop the Bug forum? because them bugs wont effect a newer version with new coding, i think these people are standing high in there own bullshit, so all i can say dont stand beside them smelling like shit, they need to clean up there little pubic fact act that they got going and fess up to the biggest lies.

Ya know..one would think with all the hype about how they have redone everything, they would have come out with a Mac version..but I see they still haven't....so that leads me to believe they are full of it..I dont think they have done much to it except a few bug tweaks

They bought out the company, and when you do that but have your own thing that's your number 1 priority, other apps get put on the back-burner.
Does anyone know why the original Hex makers didn't stay on?

It was their baby originally and I'm sure they would've known what it took in advancing it. Daz only bought it out so there's no connection to the software there. Not really a vested interest as they do in Daz Studio and it's innovation.

hexagon will spoil you. once you use it then try another app that is similar, hexagon navigation is really simplified and making things is real quick with out the headache other apps gives you, like poor navigation, meaning your fighting the app trying to control it before you model some thing or it has to many clicks to do a simple job or some apps prefer you to type in numbers to do some thing but hexagon you have hands on control with your object to edit it. hexagon just needs more poly modeling tools that all and they can't even add ONE, there is some thing wrong with these people
