Trixie open a mesh in hex an u can see the mess the mesh is in all tris (not a major prob but annoying) and its hard to keep any sort of symetery!! found adding seams in right places can help with cleaning up in hex but really need to keep the symetery in MD if I can find out how
JSM if they come out with a cut down version for poser at around 10 dollars I'd buy it or a NON save demo just for fun I'd play now an then! but as it stands once me time runs out I'll forget it

OH wow the guy is giving those clothes out for free. I thought they were just examples of what you could do. Ok but they are in PAC format. How do we convert them to OBJ?

Ez I'd love you forever if you could do the others. I don't have Zbrush. OH but wait...they are already made and not made around the character I'd like to use them on which is V4.

Well after reading more over there, it seems some things are changing..for one, the licensing..right now the 'free' version that they have up will now cost the 199.00 Attachments:

Sure would be nice if the beta testers got a free copy Ahhhh well. Ez, the reason you can't use it on V4 {or any other Poser figure} is that clothing items usually have to have a certain character as a model for the clothing, so the clothing fits right. Of course someone really good could probably tweak the clothing and get it to fit, but that's alot of extra work..much easier to model it on the character me thinks. Attachments:

I remembered though that it wasn't modeled for my particular figure.

Thanks. I'm reading the pdf now to try and get started. Knowing Hexagon and how it works will help me a bit. I was initially not going to download it so quickly since I saw the days ticker, but saw them say once the 30 days are up you can still use it until the beta testing is done. Can I see that dress?

first dress outta this silly prog lol its dynamic (really dont like the mesh lol, EZ showed that zbrush will clean it up quite nicely, so now you only need a 500 squid progy to fix the output from a 1000 squid progy to get it to work in a 100 squid proggy) the worlds gone mad an me off for a beer IF anyone wants the dress (or the pac file from MD) yell out before I bin it ;-) Attachments:

Ez what were the steps taken in Zbrush that turned them into quads so quickly? Was it only 2 minutes because it was a small bathing suit? Or is the process, itself, a quick one when done in Zbrush?

Hmm...the time I'd take doing that, I could just model in Hex and skip that decimate step. Cool app but I think I'll be passing for now. Not only because of the tris but because of what was stated by hedheld. I'd need Zbrush for $500 just to decimate this $199(and that's *if* I only get the non commercial license. Then it would be $699). Well over a 1,000 just to do this. I need Photoshop and so I'll be looking out for a deal on that instead. This was nice though. I'll still keep and eye on it, but I'm going to put it down on my list.

there is other software you can use to convert tri's into quads but good luck on finding any that does the job right all the way threw.
if you all ready have zbrush then i would recommend using it to covert to quads, i could convert the swim suit to all quads in about a minute or so and it would be un likely some one could re model it that fast or near that fast.
if you dont have zbrush then it would be silly just to buy it to convert it to quads .
the triangular swim suit in zbrush was a zsphere appended to the swim suit and i made a zsphere chain to the top and one to the bottom and then projected it and BAM thats all that quick

lol hex rools !! cheap an cheerfull as as fast as stuff off a stick ;-) is other ways to do the decimate, blender I think can do it (but blender freaks me out) even found a freeware one!!! took 12 tris out an obj of 6500 mmmmmmmmm not good from a thread I was reading in daz the mesh is formed to work well in cloth sims (has a name but me forgot it ) but unfortunetly for us it aint a good one for stripping out the tris lol (unless u got zbrush) shame cos it does make some really nice dresses and quite easy too. Wonder if when they got it all up an running (an selling to coco channel) they'll do a cut down version for us poser users mmmmmm dream on

It runs for like $500. I'm either going to get that or Photoshop before I'd get this program. Only one and only around Christmas time or so. I had fun working with it for a little bit. Keep doing what you're doing Ez. I like seeing your W.I.P.s Maybe by the time I get this, you'll become an advanced user of the prog and can teach us some new tricks(like you always do.)

Ez, if I may be so nosey...you mentioned an app you had beta tested that simulates over at the Marvelous forums...and that there is a free version of the app..could you tell me what the name of that app is and where I can get it?
Does it simulate better than the Poser clothroom sim?
Thanks!
