OH Lordy...it's very hard to follow a video when the person is just ZOOMING. It's especially hard when there is no sound telling us which tool they clicked on. They do a quick selection. Blink and you miss it. I left off with showing the arrangement points after clicking on my sewing areas. I don't know what he did in that second so that the front was aligned and solid. Looking at your pic all the seams look crossed?? hard to be sure but once you got all the pieces in the right places will be clear then u can fix since your using vickie turn of the attachemnt points (woteva there called ) in the left window click each piece in turn an move it to the right spot (eg front of dress to just in front of vickie etc ) then look at the seams MAKE sure there not crossed over then run sim if a seam is still wriggling like an angry adder adjust the length of one side of the seam

Just thought you had to select them. Thankie for the tip! ;D

thanks. Ez I brought my V4 model into Marvelous. Then I brought that dress you gave me(the wantdress.zip) which is the one above spinning on the manni. How can I get it to convert to her? I try to synchronize it but it partially took. I really want that dress!!!!

on the top press> Rearrange all patterns then simulate it. and if it does not look right you may need to press> Rearrange all patterns then move the patten according to your v4 body parts then simulate it,
if it doesn't have the wrinkle you want, move/pull on the points on the pattern it self with simulate on and synchronize on, this is what makes the wrinkle realistic (this is one of the most important steps)

Wow did you get that look from a fashion book? I really like it, Ez!
When you bring these clothes in Carrara they render great correct? I've only seen the tablecloth render so wasn't sure.

Whoa.....you be too much Ez *gives ya a big squeeze* Hey I discovered some stuff about importing and exporting...was reading over at MD forum about that, and I did some of my own testing....their way of doing it just wasn't setting with me because the clothes for poser characters were not fitting..they say you have to manually fit them with param dials..and I knew there had to be a way....we do it in Hex so..... HA! Here is what I did: 1. In Poser: Load figure to export, turn off IK, and zero figure as normal {dummy to model on} 2. Export as .obj {turn off all options} 3. In MD: Import dummy object at '2621' scale leaving the rest of the options at default. 4. Create/design clothing. 5. Export from MD as .obj 'cloth shape' and weld options only. leave rest of options at default. In Poser: 6. Load character you modeled for. {unless you have it loaded already} 7. Turn off IK and Zero figure as usual. {again, if it's already loaded skip this step} 8. Import your clothing object : all options turned 'off' except the percentage fig size..set this to '48.70' Your clothing should now pop onto your character as it normally does..with very few tweaks needed to get it to fit. -------------------------------------- I tried this with a dress I modeled in MD for Jessi G2..I even sent it thru the sim with a pose and it worked perfectly with no poke thru. I haven't tested it with the weld option yet upon import into Poser..but I did notice that the front and back of the dress were acting as grouped and not welded when I applied a simple diffuse color. Oh, and this was done in Poser 7 btw, which oddly doesn't have a 'collada' export feature..which is why I went looking for a workaround

Actually I have discovered its hit and miss...different clothing needs to come in at different scale levels....which is pretty ridiculous if your dummy model is set in space at one point the clothing should load the same....wonder if it has anything to do with those arrangement points? I sooooo thought I had found a workaround and could help somewhere

I import at 2500 now then export from MD at 0.004 works quite well
that % of fig size in poser often does some wierd things

oh real bad info there Jsm sorry
I import into hex at .4 ( and since I work at 1000 times in hex ) was looking to knock one step out but they do need a bit of hex's loving care so will carry on as usual lol BUT MD wont export at that size!! everything exports at 1 (never tried bigger had no reason to)
